African pompano are found throughout tropical oceans and seas worldwide, though they are more commonly seen in coastal waters. This species has been recorded along both the east and west coasts of the United States, as well as in South America, Africa, the Indian Ocean, Asia, Australia, and many islands in the Pacific.

The transparent hues of this fish allow the long grain of the wood to show through, enhancing the impression of movement. Each piece in this series has the same shape but features a unique color pattern, making every piece one of a kind. The body is made of soft maple, a sustainable hardwood sourced from the USA. The transparent colors are infused into a VOC-free resin.

All necessary hardware for hanging this piece is included.
