Inspired by the magnificent Bluefin Tuna, the Wild Fin is all about speed. An aggressive rake angle of the fins objectifies that velocity. A Bluefin Tuna can reach speeds in excess of 40 mph! this contemporary design Wild Fin interprets it’s spirit but in a smaller piece than the Big Fin.. a aggressive slope toward the tailbut in a smaller piece than the Big Fin. of the Big Fin. this design captures it's spirit in a contemporary design. A deep charcoal sweeps through the lighter, more transparent charcoal and reveals the complex wood grain of the maple. A flash of blue, yellow, and a bit of orange on the cheek add an unexpected detail. The brushed aluminum fins and bone pickup the light and complement the colors. Each piece in this Series has the same body but not the same delineation of color, each is unique. The body is soft maple, a sustainable hardwood harvested in the USA. The transparent colors are blended in a resin that is totally VOC free.
