This Bonefish has a dyed African Mahogany body with polished aluminum fins.  The base can be removed so you can also hang it on the wall.   The hanging hardware and all parts to hang the fish are included.  The piece is finished with multiple layers of lacquer.  The body is also available in Maple, Cherry, or a Color Lacquer finish.

Size on the stand: 24 x 11-3/4 x 1-3/16"

The fast-swimming Bonefish are known as the “grey ghosts of the flats” because they are challenging to catch. They live in shallow inshore water and often can be caught in one foot of water.  These silvery fish feed on a variety of things on the bottom with their head down and their forked tail protruding from the water, a behavior known as “tailing”.  Bonefish can weigh up to 19 pounds and measure up to 35 inches long.  The bases of the pectoral fins are yellow.  Bonefishing (fly fishing for bonefish) is a popular sport in southern Florida and the Bahamas.
